Christopher Collins Lee Christopher Collins Lee was a protégé of Zino Francescatti studying and traveling with him on his final tours. His other major teachers included Dorothy DeLay, Henryk Szeryng and Nathan Milstein.

Christopher has played as soloist under the batons of Leopold Stokowski, Leonard Bernstein, Herbert Van Karajan, Sergiu Commissiona, and Arthur Fiedler among others. He has won numerous awards such as the Carl Flesch International Competition, Fulbright and Guggenheim Awards, the J.S. Bach Competition and the Fritz Kreisler Prize.

He has taught at the Juilliard School, Princeton University, the Geneva Conservatory in Switzerland (as assistant to legendary violinist Henryk Szeryng), the Conservatories of Beijing and Shanghai, and many other institutions. As Official Musical Ambassador for the U.S. Department of State, he has played thousands of concerts worldwide, including over forty solo tours to Asia alone. He introduced the violin to parts of Tibet, and was the first musician invited to tour mainland China after end of the "cultural revolution". He is currently serving as a special advisor to the Mexican government, founding orchestras and fostering music education there, especially in the Yucatan.

Christopher Lee has received critical acclaim for his recitals and chamber music collaborations. He has long been a favorite at the Marlboro Festival in Vermont, Aspen, Salzburg, Maggio Musicale, Musicae Contemporanea in Berlin, and other preeminent music festivals around the world. The New York Times called him “an impressive, stylish violinist with something special to say”, The Daily News “his playing was a joy as always”. Musical America twice listed him as one of their “Musicians To Watch.” He has recorded for CBS, Desto, Everest, Delos and Quattro Corde labels. One of his recordings was chosen to represent human culture on the Voyager Time Capsule, now leaving our solar system. He lives in a landmark house in the New York City area.
