Jack Moore

Conductor Jack Moore has been the Music Director of the Ambler Symphony Orchestra since 1995. In 1997, he was appointed Principal Conductor of the Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, and, since 2001 has been Music Director of the Olney Symphony Orchestra, in Philadelphia. He was Music Director of the Atlantic Community College Orchestra/South Shore Symphony Orchestra in New Jersey for 17 years.

He also maintains a very active schedule of guest appearances with other orchestras in the region, including the Ocean City Pops Orchestra, and the Bucks Co. Symphony, among others.

He enjoys working with young musicians, and has served as guest conductor of many of the region’s high school honors orchestras, including the All-South Jersey, the Philadelphia All-Catholic High School Orchestra, the Bucks County honors orchestra, the Montgomery County High School Strings, and the Harford County, MD honors orchestra.

Internationally, he served two seasons as Principal Guest Conductor of the Vidin State Philharmonic, in Bulgaria. He has also appeared with the Chamber Orchestra of the Hermitage, in the historic Catherine the Great Theater, in St. Petersburg, Russia, as well as the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic, and the Hradec-Kralove Philharmonic in the Czech Republic.

In addition to his conducting career, Mr. Moore is also a classical music announcer and Program Director at WRTI Radio in Philadelphia.
