Maria Thompson Corley has enjoyed a distinguished career as soloist, accompanist and educator. A recipient of the Doctor of Musical Arts from New York´s prestigious Juilliard School, she has studied with Gyorgy Sandor and Alexandra Munn and participated in Master Classes with Jorg Demus, Claude Franck, David Burge and Menachem Pressler.

 

As a soloist, Dr. Corley has recorded for Naxos Records and Albany Records as well as appearing on New York's NPR station, WQXR and on Canada´s CBC. She has also been featured on WITF in Harrisburg; WFSU in Tallahassee, Florida and on broadcasts in Central America. Her recital engagements have taken her to New York, Los Angeles, Hungary, Costa Rica, Alberta and Bermuda, among other venues.

 

Maria Thompson Corley is a valued member of the piano faculty at Millersville University in Lancaster as well as being an accomplished composer and arranger.
