Tamara Black 

Lyric Soprano Tamara Black has been noted for her “beautiful, velvety tone and engaging stage presence”. She has been heard on the opera stages of the Spoleto Festival USA and the Festival dei Due Mondi, Dicapo Opera, New Jersey Opera Theatre, Temple Opera Theatre and Westminster Opera Theatre singing roles such as Gilda in Rigoletto, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Laurie in Tenderland, and the Princess in L’enfant et les Sortileges. As a soloist, Ms. Black has appeared in a televised performance of the Mozart Coronation Mass with the Julliard Orchestra and made a Carnegie Hall debut with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s. She has also been a guest artist with the Reading Pops and recently gave a joint recital as part of the Albright College Concert Series. Ms. Black maintains a large private voice studio in Pennsylvania and presents fully staged operas each summer with her students.
