For the 2007/2008 season the Young Artists Competition will be open to Woodwinds, Brass and Percussion and will offer the winner of the Senior Division our first Siemens Scholarship, provided by our season sponsor, Siemens. Over the next three seasons we will rotate instrumental and vocal categories as follows: 

2008: Woodwinds, Brass and Percussion

2009: Piano

2010: Voice (minimum age 18)

2011: Strings 

A winner will be selected from both the Senior and Junior Divisions. Along with a $500 Siemens Scholarship, the winner of the Senior Division will perform with the Pottstown Symphony Orchestra during its regular concert season (at the discretion of the Music Director). The winner of the Junior Division will perform with the Pottstown Symphony Orchestra during its educational outreach concerts (at the discretion of the Music Director). 

This year's competition will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2008 at The Hill School Center for the Arts.
